One of the unique things that set Amtech Tool and Machine apart from other shops is their very own waterjet. High-pressure waterjet machining systems offer unique advantages over other technologies and they’re an economical way to cut 2D shapes with no tooling costs. Waterjets are able to cut through virtually any material, hard or soft, ranging from aluminum, stainless steel and copper to nylon and fiberglass. The machines can cut with a high degree of accuracy without the risk of burning or distortion from heat. It can also cut single or multi-layer materials from as thin as .001” to several inches thick. Example parts that often use the waterjet process are enclosures, brackets, front panels and sheet metal boxes.
